Let's talk about English study and Tet holiday in Vietnam.
The topics are always hot and the obstacles for lots of people. Nowadays, English is an essential element in every aspects of life and work. English has been used as a tool for the performance evaluation of an employee in any organization. Some companies have its own English standard, e.g: TOEIC 500, IELTS 5.5.....In some cases, it is a good thing to push the employees towards English study in order to try their best to gain the score target. In contrast, some job positions do not require you to communicate so much in English, even reading skill. Some people I know have been trying to improve their English in a passive approach that often leads to the ineffective results.
There are many ways to learn/study English or whatever you call it. But if you do not see "it" as a usual habit, you will definitely forget it after the examination.
