Finally, Italy national football team defeated Spain 2 - 0 to take full revenge for their loss in the Euro final match (0 - 4). They did a great work in the 1/8 game of Euro 2016 vs the La Roja. They have solid and experienced defenders (all over 30 years old, except Bonucci 28), versatile midfielders. Gianluigi Buffon had a great match with a bunch of save and nobody can believe that he is 38 years old now. Spanish players did not have lots of space to show their football style. Iniesta, Morata were completely silent until a volley that was denied by Buffon. Italian fans must be very happy and satisfied at this moment. Although theirs heroes were not highly considered as a strong team before the opening ceremony, every other team should keep an eye on Italy.
The next game versus Germany is going to remind Buffon and Co. of a sweet memory from the Euro 2012 semi-final and the WC 2006 semi-final. In 2012, two goals of Baloteli saw off Germany although they dominated the game. Germany is stronger than themselves 4 years ago, but Italy is very confident now. Everything can happen in this match and one thing for sure that Italy is going to play as their usual "cantenaccio" style.
