The fourth novels about detective Harry Bosch of Michael Connelly. HB was in a pyschological treatment due to the bad behaviour with his supervisor. During the treatment, he looked into the old case of his mother who had been killed when he was 11. He is always obseessed with this image of his mother and he tried his best to solve this case. He traced the case from the murder book in the police records and this led him to some clues. Finally, he succesfully found the killer, but his boss was dead as well as the remaining people concerned to his mother.
