An amazing thriller. I can believe how the author can create such a story. The imagination of the author makes this novel worthy and you just want to chase every step of the whole case. HB was in a trial related to a murder of an actress and the defense who was a famous producer. The conspiracy of the defense was to plant a fake evidence which led to HB in a different case that was being investigated by FBI.
McCaleb was a former employee of FBI, but he had retired with a transplanted hearted. He possessed the analytical thinking of an oustanding investigator. He was asked to glance at unsolved case by his former colleague. Everything suddenly came back to him and he had to fight with his mind during the novel whether he should take the case or stay away from it. Finally, he decided to carry out the case. All clue he found indicated the involvment of HB, but HB showed clearly that McCaleb was in the wrong path.
