A busy day when I was on a business trip to Vinh Phuc province which is about 60 kilometers to the West of Ha Noi. I met an American investor who intended to build a university and medical center in this northern area. He is the president of one of the most prominent incorporation in the field of environment technology that has a US based-headquarters. He is committing a credit of approximately millions of dollars in order to improve education and health in Vinh Phuc province as well as the whole country. Firstly, we hold a meeting between among him and some important members of people's committee who are in charge of some departments such as: Dept. of construction, Dept. of health, Dept. of agriculture and rural development. Then, we visited some industrial parks and empty lands which might be the place for construction later. Finally, we had lunch at an excellent restaurant with fish and turtle.
After coming back from Vinh Phuc, I slept for a while and went to my English class. Today's lesson was about speaking Part 2 of IELTS again. Tom instructed us how to prepare and distribute time for this part. We should spare one minute for planning and write main ideas on the paper. Each of us was given a topic card and practised, then presented to the whole class. After finishing talking, the remaining students and Tom made some comments and corrected mistakes, especially the grammar error, pronunciation. We often missed the last consonants of an English word which is a common mistake of Vietnamese. We will try to correct this serious mistake if wanting the better score in speaking.
